Paul and Julie have three children and four grandchildren. In the final year of high school a friend invited Paul to an Inter-School Christian Fellowship (ISCF) bushwalk and then to his church in Campsie, Sydney where he became a Christian. Julie has taught Primary school for 40 years in Sydney and Wagga Wagga.

In 1982 Paul and Julie went to Nepal with the Church Missionary Society (CMS). Paul was a medical missionary in Kathmandu and moved into Medical Administration.  All three children were born in Nepal. After 6 years they returned to Sydney, then to Wagga Wagga for 17 years returning to Sydney in 2010. Paul has worked in the NSW Department of Health since then. Paul and Julie have served in various lay leadership roles in all the churches they have attended.

In 2024, now retired, Julie and Paul moved to Canberra to be closer to two of their children and all four grandchildren. They joined GBC not long after coming to Canberra.

Paul has a Diploma of Divinity and Mission and Julie has a Diploma of Theology. They look forward to supporting ministry in GBC as required through prayer, teaching, and pastoral care, including supporting Global Mission outreach.
